RED9INE is a custom studio located on the Danforth in Toronto, Canada. Not your typical tattoo shop, we are individual artists mastering our crafts, making the world more beautiful one person at a time.
Since opening its doors in 2007, RED9INE TATTOOS has become a well known name in Toronto. It is the type of studio owner Jesse Shearman has always wanted to work in, modeling it after his own experience in the industry. With the focus on custom tattooing we are able to give each and every piece the time, dedication and personalization that it deserves. We are first and foremost ARTISTS and are creative, open-minded individuals. With a little guidance we can help you illustrate whatever it is you feel, desire and need.
We offer a spacious, barrier protected and latex free environment, using only disposable equipment and sterile single use needles. We are committed to providing the highest level of care towards health and safety to both the client and artist. We are regularly health board inspected according to industry standards and all artists are BBP certified.

*Touch-ups are free only within the first 3 months

and may be asked for photo identification at artist's discretion
Tattoo Pricing
Tattoos are priced by piece, hourly shop and artist rate
Our shop rate is $150 per hour
13% HST charged for all services
Deposits and Payments must be made in CASH ONLY
AFTER GETTING TATTOOED
With clean hands carefully remove the bandage after 2-3 hours.
Soak a piece of clean paper towel and wipe gently to remove any tattoo residue.
A small amount of colour and/or blood is normal.
BATHING
You may bathe the night of being tattooed, or the next morning. You do not want to soak the skin, so showers are suggested. Use soap that is unscented and free of any perfume and/or dyes as these may irritate the skin and tattoo. Blot dry with a clean paper towel NOT your normal bathing towel. Leave your tattoo alone. Be cautious as there may still be tattoo residue. Use clean clothing and sheets.
THE NEXT MORNING
You may bathe following the instructions above.
With clean hands apply unscented moisturizer that is free of any perfume and/or dyes. Use just a small amount and apply very gently. This should be done twice daily for 2 weeks.
WHILE HEALING
The tattooed area may be sore and swollen for the first couple days. It is an open wound and extra caution should be exercised during daily activities. Always use clean hands when cleaning and moisturizing your tattoo. Be very cautious of pets and do not let anyone touch your tattoo.
A few days after being tattooed you will notice the tattoo become dry and flaky like a sunburn. This is completely normal and what a healthy healing tattoo should look like. The tattoo may begin to itch, ranging from a slight tingle to unbearable, but PLEASE DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK TATTOO!
Applying moisturizer may relieve itch.
Avoid soaking and/or having baths, swimming, hot tubs, sauna and activities that may strain the tattooed area. Avoid sun, uv rays, tanning for a month.
Your tattoo should be fully healed in 2-3 weeks .
The tattoo should not have hard scabs, pus or look angry as these may be signs of infection.
If infection does occur, please contact your family doctor immediately.

After putting his time into the industry, award winning owner Jesse Shearman has taken a new approach to tattooing. Focusing only on custom pieces Jesse’s work has developed into a much sought after style. Most known for his black and grey, the smoothness and depth are what gives his pieces the look that can only be achieved through time, technique and experience. He is strongly inspired by organic shapes and nature with an urban flair.

I am a professional multi-tasker and full-time shop mom. I do what I love and I love what I do.
I have been tattooing for a while now and am working on putting together a portfolio that reflects my developing skills and creative style.
Mike Mullaney - Tattoo Artist
As a child Mike always loved drawing and he now channels that creativity into his career as a tattoo artist. Working alongside other artists is something he believes to be crucial to his personal growth and inspires him to continue to challenge himself creatively. Mike is interested in all styles of tattooing, as reflected in his portfolio with a focus on large scale pieces.
I have been tattooing for 6 years. I enjoy black and grey, custom script and neo-traditional styles of tattooing. I am inspired by artists such as Cartoon, Carlos Torres, and of course, Bob Tyrrell.

We were fortunate to have another exceptional artist from Beijing, Yang Zhou visit us while travelling between the Montreal and London conventions. He will also be back next June for Toronto's Tattoo Convention, NIX.
